Bronx Special Kids Foundation respects the privacy and dignity of families, children, volunteers, donors, partners, and community members. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and how people may contact us about privacy questions.
1. Information We Collect
- Contact information, such as name, email address, phone number, preferred language, and preferred contact method.
- Program, event, workshop, volunteer, and family registration information.
- Child and caregiver information needed for safety, accessibility, and participation, such as age range, allergies, communication style, AAC or visual support needs, sensory supports, mobility or safety notes, emergency contacts, and caregiver information.
- Consent records, such as liability waivers, photo/video permissions, quote permissions, emergency permissions, and signature information.
- Donation and payment information processed through third-party providers such as WooPayments, Stripe, or similar payment processors. We do not intentionally store full payment card numbers.
- Volunteer information, such as availability, interests, experience, training, assignments, and service hours.
- Website and communication information, such as contact form submissions, newsletter signups, cookie data, analytics information, device/browser information, and interactions with embedded content.
- Photos, videos, quotes, stories, and feedback when permission has been provided or when use is otherwise consistent with the applicable consent process.
2. How We Use Information
- To register participants, caregivers, volunteers, donors, and partners for programs, events, workshops, and volunteer activities.
- To provide accessibility and participation supports, including AAC, visual supports, sensory supports, language access, safety planning, and flexible participation options.
- To send confirmations, reminders, updates, receipts, newsletters, volunteer information, and follow-up messages.
- To process donations, issue acknowledgments, maintain records, and meet tax, accounting, reporting, and organizational responsibilities.
- To evaluate programs, improve accessibility, understand community needs, and prepare aggregate reports for funders, partners, and internal planning.
- To protect safety, respond to incidents or emergencies, maintain consent records, prevent misuse, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Children and Caregiver Information
Bronx Special Kids Foundation serves children with disabilities and their families. We collect child-related information from parents, guardians, caregivers, or authorized adults when needed for registration, safety, accessibility, communication, and program participation. We do not knowingly ask children to create website accounts or submit sensitive information without caregiver involvement.
4. How We Share Information
We do not sell personal information. We may share limited information only when needed for the purposes described in this policy, including with service providers, program partners when needed for safety or participation, funders in aggregate form, and when required by law.
5. Third-Party Tools and Websites
Our website and programs may use third-party tools, including WordPress, WooCommerce, WooPayments, Stripe, Google Forms, email platforms, analytics tools, embedded videos, maps, and social media links.

Our website may use cookies, analytics, embedded content, or similar technologies to help the website work, understand general usage, improve accessibility, process payments, and protect security.
7. Photos, Videos, Quotes, and Stories
We use photos, videos, quotes, stories, or participant feedback only in a way that is consistent with consent forms, media permissions, privacy expectations, and the dignity of the person or family represented.
8. Data Security and Retention
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. We keep information only as long as needed for program, safety, legal, tax, accounting, reporting, or organizational purposes.
9. Your Choices
You may ask to update or correct contact information, unsubscribe from nonessential communications, ask questions about media permissions, or request that we review information connected to you or your child, subject to legal and safety requirements.
10. Accessibility and Language Access
Bronx Special Kids Foundation is committed to accessible, family-centered communication. People may contact us to request help accessing this policy or receiving information in another format when possible.
