Donation and Refund Policy

Donations, recurring gifts, event payments, sponsorships, and in-kind support

Bronx Special Kids Foundation · Last updated: July 6, 2026

Bronx Special Kids Foundation gratefully accepts donations and other support to advance inclusive, sensory-friendly programming for children with disabilities and families in the bronx and surrounding communities.

1. Tax-Deductible Donations

Bronx Special Kids Foundation is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt organization under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3), effective April 17, 2026, and classified as a public charity under Section 509(a)(2). EIN: 42-1973718. Contributions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

2. Donation Receipts

Donation receipts include the donor name, donation date, donation amount, organization name, EIN, and acknowledgment language. If no goods or services were provided in exchange for the gift, the receipt will say so.

3. Donation Refunds

Donations are generally final. We may consider refund requests for duplicate donations, processing errors, unauthorized transactions, or other documented mistakes. Refund requests should be submitted in writing by email at bronxspecialkids@gmail.com within 30 days of the donation date.

4. Recurring Gifts

Donors may request cancellation of future recurring donations by contacting us or using the donor/payment platform cancellation tools when available.

5. Event Payments and Registrations

Some events may be free, donation-based, ticketed, or supported by suggested contributions. Event-specific refund terms may be posted on the event page.

6. Restricted Gifts

Donors may request that a gift support a specific program, activity, or need. We will make reasonable efforts to honor donor restrictions that are accepted by the organization.

7. In-Kind Donations

In-kind donations may include supplies, materials, equipment, food, books, sensory items, tools, or other goods. We may decline items that are unsafe, expired, unsuitable, or inconsistent with program needs.

8. Sponsorships and Benefits

Sponsorships may include recognition, event acknowledgment, logo placement, or other benefits. Tax treatment may depend on the benefits received.

9. Refund or Cancellation Requests

For refund or recurring-gift cancellation questions, email bronxspecialkids@gmail.com with the donor name, date of donation/payment, amount, payment method if known, and reason for the request.
